Melody
received her Associates Degree in Criminal Law from Eastern New Mexico
University and her Bachelor
of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies from Widener University School
of Law, where she graduated cum laude. She has worked in the legal
field for more than 20 years and was previously employed with the Law
Firm of John W. Murphy specializing in personal injury, medical malpractice
and criminal defense.
Melody has been an active member of WSPA since 2004 and was an active
member of the Delaware Paralegal Association for 8 years prior to relocating
to Washington State in 2004.
She has been a volunteer for CASA and Neighbor-to-Neighbor (which
assists the home bound elderly) and continues to do contract work assisting
the elderly with in-home care, errands, cleaning or just companionship.
Melody is looking forward to continuing her commitment of educating
attorneys on the value of paralegals, speaking at events at the local
